چکیده

This paper presents the occurrence, properties and origin of chromium, nickel and cobalt in environmental samples soil, water and the atmosphere. Methods of determining the above-mentioned elements and ways of preparing environmental samples for chemical analyses are presented. The content of chromium, nickel and cobalt in the atmosphere, naturally occurring waters, and soil is shown, along with the permissible concentrations of the above elements in the three divisions of the environment legally required in Poland and other

Shear Bond Strength of Porcelain Veneering to Nickel-Chromium, Chromium-Cobalt, Zirconia and Lithium Disilicate

Background and Aim: High chipping rates of the veneering porcelain in zirconia ce-ramic restorations have been reported in many clinical studies. However, information on the bonding behavior of veneering porcelain to zirconia and lithium disilicate frameworks is limited. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the bond-ing strength of porcelain veneering to zirconia, lithium disilicate, nicke...

Toxic levels of some heavy metals in drinking groundwater in Dakahlyia Governorate, Egypt in the year 2010.

Fifty-four drinking groundwater samples were collected in April 2010 from some districts of the Dakahlyia governorate, Egypt. The water samples were analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometer for iron, manganese, lead, nickel, chromium, zinc, copper, cobalt and cadmium concentrations. All samples but two were found suitable for drinking; from the water sample from Aga district showed sligh...

پهنه‌بندی غلظت فلزات سنگین کروم، کبالت و نیکل در خاک‌های سه زیر حوزه آبخیز استان همدان با استفاده از فناوری‌های GIS و زمین آمار

Among the environmental pollutants, heavy metals according to their irresolvable and physiological effects on living organisms at low concentrations, are of special importance These elements due to low mobility are gradually accumulated in soil Being accumulated in soil, they eventually enter the food chains and threaten human health and other creatures Therefore, studying concentration distrib...

Epidemiological and experimental aspects of metal carcinogenesis: physicochemical properties, kinetics, and the active species.

The carcinogenic properties of selected metals and their compounds are reviewed to provide a useful reference for existing knowledge on relationships between physical and chemical forms, kinetics and carcinogenic potential and between epidemiology, bioassays, and short-term tests. Extensive consideration is given to arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, lead, and nickel. Other metals such as a...

Alveolar macrophages and lung lesions after combined exposure to nickel, cobalt, and trivalent chromium.

In earlier inhalation exposures of rabbits, nickel increased the production of surfactant by type II cells, with secondary effects on morphology and function of alveolar macrophages. Cobalt induced mainly a nodular growth pattern of the type II cells. Trivalent chromium seemed to impair the capacity of macrophages to catabolize surfactant but did not affect the type II cells. We exposed rabbits...
